Baytul Nafs addresses one of Fresno County’s most urgent reentry challenges. For adults living with disabilities or mental health challenges, and for veterans, release from jail or prison too often means returning without stable housing, employment, trusted guidance, or a community that understands both their lived experience and their faith. In the first three to six months after release, fragmented services, stigma, and unsafe living environments can quickly undermine even the strongest commitment to change.

Through our holistic approach, Baytul Nafs offers case management, life-skills education, workforce preparation, peer mentoring, nutrition education, external referrals, and community development services. We believe in empowering our participants to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose, helping them transition from incarceration to productive, stable community members. Operating on a not-for-profit basis, we reinvest all resources into expanding our services and deepening our impact on the lives of those we serve.
